While it was originally just a tech demo for the DualSense, it offers a colorful and expertly crafted platforming game to tie in all of that controller’s features. [newline]We know you’ve just got your brand new PS5 console and you’re probably excited to experience all that it has to offer. That said, we really recommend you don’t rush through Astro’s Playroom, as it’s an experience that deserves to be savoured. Take your time exploring the level and discovering all of the Easter eggs; spend a moment walking on the different surfaces and seeing how it affects the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback functionality. Above all else, have fun with friends and family, passing the pad around – experiences like this don’t come around often. The levels are packed to the brim with PlayStation Easter eggs and references; bots dressed up as iconic PlayStation characters in iconic scenery. There’s the red-tattooed Kratos bot with a smaller Atreus bot in a boat in the Cooling Springs beach area.
Artifact 1/3 “Playstation 2” – As you progress upwards you will go by two cannons with an electrified mine moving back and forth just above them. Puzzle Piece 1/4 – In the first pinball area, roll into the spot on the back left to get boosted to a rail with this puzzle piece at the end. Puzzle Piece 2/4 – Back on the main path, you then ride a circuit board through an area with electric rail obstacles.

The PlayStation Camera accessory is required to play The Playroom. If a camera is not present, a trailer for The Playroom will be displayed instead of the full game. Firesprite, a studio founded by former employees of Studio Liverpool, worked on the visuals of The Playroom. Usually rumble tends to fade away and eventually becomes something I stop noticing. In some cases I’ll turn it off entirely so it doesn’t distract me. But in the case of the DualSense, for the first time ever really, I feel like it actually enhances and changes the game for the better. Puzzle Piece 4/4 – When going down the section where you are blown by two clouds, make sure to stick to the right after the second cloud to get bounced to this puzzle piece. Artifact 1/2 “PlayStation Memory Card” – Just ahead there will be a split in the road with a path on the left with a danger sign.
